On that note, lets go full personal.
In the 10 years we have lived here, Nate and I still haven't found a home church in Seattle. We shop around a bit but haven't found one that we really want to stay with. I think it can be hard (for me) because I was raised as a pastors kid, and I struggle with comparing every church we visit here to my home church in Yakima (where my Dad pastors). I've never had a pastor who isn't my Dad nor have I ever had a different role within the church other than pastors kid. We are approaching a time of transition with my Dad's church, combined with a desire to find a home church in Seattle before we have kids, the eagerness to find a church to call home has been increasing around the Feltner household.
Why am I sharing this?
I want to be intentional in cultivating the desires I have for life. Plus we went to a really special church this morning - I am feeling very thankful about the possibilities there and hopeful we will soon find a Seattle church to call ours.
Now, to watch football. Happy Sunday!
